I, other the other hand, have become obsessed with my Midjourney visual AI program, and typed in some of the most evocative phrases from my best poems, and some of the results have been absolutely amazing. (Sometimes it's just an idea that pops into my head, like "University of the Tower of Babel." It's produced something Gaudi would be proud of).
But I am very relieved to know our avocation is not threatened in the very near future. And if you want me to put any phrase at all in my program, I would be delighted to do that for you.
I'm a retired IT person, so I've gone hard down the ChatGPT rabbit hole. What is interesting to me is to use to quickly reframe the tone of something, just to give a jumping-off point. So, maybe, feed it a paragraph that I wrote, and ask it to rewrite it in different ways. Like, I asked it to write a story about a cat named Lillybelle who lives in Denmark and has telepathic abilities. Then make it a vampire story. Then change it to a literary style. And another thing that's interesting: if you and another person feed it the exact same prompt, and hit enter at the same time, you get entirely different stories. I know, because I tried that.
This is seriously hysterical. In an intellectual way, of course.😚
